For our second essay, my rhetoric class was asked to do something formal. I like the idea of this, but then no one that's read it has actually been able to really connect to it, because none of them has been first-generation. This makes me feel like I failed somehow, because I can't bridge cultural gaps apparently. And now I feel like a specimen. ( Read more... )

For this week, we had to do 2-3 pages (single spaced, ew) of explaining something we know well. And we had to do it like our audience was familiar (friend, family, coworker, whatever) and receptive to what we had to say. Me being me, I wrote about Beethoven's Ninth. ;)
